Apple and Cherry Blossom Photography Sessions
My Apply and Cherry Blossom mini-sessions are extremely limited in numbers. That’s because Finnish spring comes and goes so fast that you might miss the blossom season if you so much as sneeze. The prettiest peak blooms might last a week or two if we’re really lucky, but far more likely they’ll last one or two days. So the sessions become a real adventure. I maintain a waiting list for the sessions - they open for sale once a year, and typically sell out within a few hours.
Here’s how it all works: my 2021 Apple and Cherry Blossom mini-sessions open for booking in February 2021. You’ll want to subscribe for the waiting list below, to get a notification of when they’re on sale! Then, you book a session in principle (but we don’t yet choose a date/time). I get updates from my special blossom-spies, and update you when the trees are about to bloom. At that point, we choose an exact day and time, and we go and shoot in the incredible surrounds at our agreed timeslot. You’ll love it!

I have a dedicated blossom spy who informs me as soon as the trees start blooming. It varies even across Helsinki a lot! Once the trees are in full bloom we can have as little as 48 hours to enjoy their beauty (like in 2015) or almost 2 weeks (like in 2016). There’s a danger of a strong wind, rain or storm... exciting! As soon as the first blossoms open on the first tree, we book the dates and times and then all you need to do is to show up for your session on time and enjoy yourselves amidst all the beauty.
You will get all the information when you book your mini session. What to wear depends on the colour of the blossoms you choose.

If you kids are extremely shy or scared of strangers, you might consider booking a regular session. However, I have many many years of experience and I’ve shot over 500 Apple and Cherry Blossom mini-sessions - so I have some tricks up my sleeve.
If you are planning to come with the whole family tree, it’s better to book a regular full session (790€). Share the cost across the adults and get huge value for your money: large group portraits (grandparents with grandkids, each family unit separately, grandparents with adults and children, cousins, all the men in family, all the women in family etc. - anything your heart desires) as well as smaller group portraits (each family unit gets their own family minishoot), and even individual portraits of all participants.
If you get sick or aliens attack Earth, you can reschedule your minisession to the next round of minisessions, or you can use the payment to upgrade to a regular session, which we can schedule at your convenience. The Petite sessions are 370€, so the upgrade is only 45€.
