Remember why you wanted to take photos of your baby. Your kids are still that special, but now they have a personality.

Their imagination is what I love the most, which is why I build each child portrait session like Lego tower—using every color of mood, reaching higher than seems possible, and embracing the fun if it all comes tumbling down.

There is no pressure whether your child needs extra time to warm up, prefers to stay cozy in your lap, or pulls a “camera face”. I promise we’ll end up with photos you’ll absolutely adore.

Raising even an absolute angel can be sometimes hard. One moment, you’re a sidekick in a fantasy world; the next, oops!, you’re rushing to grab a towel because one drop of shampoo in their eyes has turned bath time into high drama. Up and down, and on and on we go.

The beauty you see in your children is a reflection of your own.

Ah life in Finland :) If sunshine is what you crave, we can reschedule. If you want the best images of your life, we pull on rubber boots and head out to jump in puddles.

One of the most common insecurities parents have is whether their family photos will truly reflect the love and connection they share. It's easy to feel disconnected from a posed photograph, where everyone is expected to smile on cue. But that’s not how I work. The photos we create together will capture genuine moments of bonding, play, and togetherness—no awkward poses, no forcing a smile. Your child’s energy, laughter, and closeness will shine through in the photos, creating memories that last forever.

Some portrait photographers require clients to fit their "brand". I don't. My brand is authenticity - so wear whatever feels like you. There are some base rules to follow, for which I have a comprehensive What to Wear Guide that you can download here. If you have equally enticing options, I will help with any decision making process as much as you need (and maybe a little more than that). Best news: you don't need to go shopping if you don't want to!

We reschedule! No problem. I was a logistics engineer before I became a portrait photographer, so I easily deal with unexpected and last minute changes which are natural part of life with kids.

I am not that portrait photographer who blames you for your kids being kids. I love working with children, and they all have completely different personalities. I’ve gone through Playful Heart photography training specifically for working with children in photography. Your children's safety is my primary concern on the shoot, so I won’t ask them for anything even remotely dangerous, but I tend to invite kids into many activities and games.

Your kids are perfect, but your home doesn’t need to be! There is no need to scrub the house or stress over the mess. I am a portrait photographer, but I am also a mother of two wildlings and a big hunting dog, so very little surprises me. Also, the camera doesn't see mess, not even your floor covered with mouldy food (though I might draw a line there...).

You hope for just one portrait of your kids together, smiling in unison.

A beautiful sibling portrait might feel as mythical as a unicorn, yes. Because kids are kids: the younger wanting to do everything themselves, the older asking a lot of questions, and someone always teetering on the edge of grumpiness. And that's completely ok.

Luckily, my brain is 50% a portrait photographer and 50% a child. I work through games, and subtle direction, so that your children won’t even notice a camera is present. And you’ll walk away with many beautiful sibling portraits that show their truest, most joyful selves—the kind that make you smile every time you see them.
